How to show image preview in icons in Mac OS X

MAC OS X 10.5 - Image previews are not showing up in icon preview anymore. They were just fine a week or 2 ago. Now image preview is not showing. I have it set in View > Show View Options > Show Icon Preview, and have clicked Defaults.. is there a trick? delete icon/image temp files, so they recreate?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did the "creator application" change for those files? When you do a get-info on one of them
what is the default open-with now than it was two weeks ago?

Also did you play around with spotlight?

If the directories in which you want Icon Preivew to work are now non-searchable by spotlight
you'll get that too.

I managed to reproduce your problem by  taking a .JPG file, changing its creator from Preview to Photoshop, and moving it outside of Spotlights search area from my desktop.

Yes my view settings are proper, but now its just a silly Photoshop icon and not the image that it used to be.
