requirements to use ajax in 3.0/3.5 with vs2008

We have a requirement to use ajax in wither 3.0 or 3.5 with vs2008 and language C#.
Could you please let me know which version of ajax i need to download, and also if there are any other things to download. Please let me know.

Also our current IE browser  version is 6.0, is this compatible or do i need to install any new versions of the browser.

    AJAX is built into that version of the framework.

    IE6 is fine. As far as the browser is concerned, its just javascript. I routinely use ajax .net on IE6, IE7 and FF2 with very few problems.
