Is there a shortcut key to close all tabs when in Datasheet View in Access 2007?

Ctrl+W closes only 1 tab. What shortcut key closes all tabs that are open in Datasheet View in Access 2007?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't have Access 2007.  What do you mean by close 'tabs'.  ie. what's a tab?

Access 2007 has the capability to display tables in Tabs. Similar to how IE8 displays browser sessions in tabs. I have included a screenshot for your review.

k-wow,

I am not aware of any shortcut keys in A2K7 that will close all object tabs.

However, you can right-click any of the tabs and select "Close All" for this effect.

k-wow,

Make a Public function to close all open forms:

Public Function CloseAllTabbbedForms()

Dim objOpenForm As AccessObject

    For Each objOpenForm In Application.CurrentProject.AllForms
        DoCmd.Close acForm, objOpenForm.Name, acSaveYes
    Next objOpenForm

End Function

Then create an "AutoKeys" Macro to run it.

Here is a sample:

Open the database.
Open all three forms.
Press: Control-Shift-W
... to close all the open forms

There are a ton of websites listing shortcut keys for A2K7. This is one of the most comprehensive ones I've seen:
http://mkkumar.sulekha.com/blog/post/2007/09/microsoft-access-shortcut-keys.htm

I haven't seen any that explicitly tell you how to "Close All" tabs using the keyboard alone.

However, I just noticed that if you hit

Ctrl + W (or Ctrl+F4)

The selected tab will close.

Keep holding the key combination down, and after a slight pause the remaining tabs will close simultaneously.
