Have a real cluster here...The domain functional level on a windows 2003 SBS SP2 was raised before the forest functional level was raised. So now, the forest is stuck at 2000 and domain at 2003. Ran into this when trying to add a BDC to the domain which is 2003 R2 Std. and it won't let me. HOW do I get the forest level to 2003?
Running adprep /forestprep says:
Forest-wide information has already been updated.
[Status/Consequence]
Adprep did not attempt to rerun this operation.

Your SBS just probably isn't R2. To add a W2k3 R2 DC to this domain, you need to run yet another "adprep /forestprep" from the \cmpnents\R2\adprep on the *second* R2 CD.
Error message when you run the Active Directory Installation Wizard: "The version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of Active Directory on this computer"
