Does anyone out there know of a way that one can show a powerpoint presentation directly from a smartphone? I have powerpoint on the phone but wonder if there is a cable that will attach to an LCD projector.

There are many ways of doing this...
    1.  Depending upon the phone brand some vendors have designed a projection cable and software for it
    2. Use a bluetooth projectors
    3. Use "wifi" and example of this device is "wireless presentaion gateway" by D-Link DPG-2100

the phone is a motorola - I looked on their site and there was nothing I could see. On sites that discuss presentation software or cables there was nothing in the hardware section - only software to do powerpoint on the phone for editing etc. nothing to attach to the phone and the projector.
