How to remove Bootcamp partition from Mac hard drive?

We would like to know if it's possible to remove the hard drive partion (it was split in half) for Bootcamp without losing the information on the MAC side of the partition, since we aren't going to use it any more and are switching to VMWare or Parrells?

Thanks so much.

This is a perilous operation, back up your work, you may render your machine un-bootable afterwards.

Boot up from the OS X install CD (any install CD) including recover, backup your entire OS X drive uncompressed/unencrypted into a .DMG file on a firewire drive before doing any partition resizing via Bootcamp Assistant.

I've lost two this way. Thankfully they were disposable.
