I have been using AVG Free edition on two PCs: my desktop and my laptop. Now, on the desktop there seems to be a virus preventing it from &nbsp;working with my cable &nbsp;modem , whereas the laptop still works with the modem. I have now updated the laptop's AVG database, but I have reason to believe that the desktop's AVG was not updated, and I ignored it (for too long...).<br />

1. So a quick fix would be to copy my laptop's AVG database to my desktop and update from that. Where is it located?<br />

2. I am having problem's registering with AVG to get access to &nbsp;its forum. I am not receiving its confirmation email that I am supposed to get in order to complete the registration. It is not getting sent to my Spam folder. Any advice on this? I as thinking of buying one of their products, but there is not much point if I can't get full access.<br />
