Anyone that can help me setup the VIVOTEK PT7137 IP camera. According to the manual if you want to set it up without a DHCP server it will give it a IP adderss automatically in the range 192.168.0.99 to 192.168.0.254, but I can't access the firmware...

Thanks

Hello,

If you are not using a DHCP server, the camera chooses a free IPaddress in your network. You can
set a fixed IPaddress later in the cameras settings if needed.

To access the firmware get the ip from the server or any station and in IE write: http:// 192.168.0.99:8080 but you have to change the ip and keep the last :8080

Ok i figured it out. The IP camera uses BOOTP to receive a IP address from DHCP. This means you need to connect the UTP cable before connecting the power.

That way it will receive a IP and can be accessed via the internet browser.

thanks for you help.

cheers
