ONly if the exchange is on a domain controller will you be able to avoid the domain\username and use just the username.

is there ia any work around
the exchange installed on member server

This is fairly simple to do, but you do need to know where to look. First open IIS in under Administrative Tools. Navigate to your Exchange website, right-click it, and click properties. From here go to the Directory Security tab and click edit under Authentication and Access Control. Finally at the bottom you can set the default domain to log in to.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
