Delphi Report writer that supports Laser and dot matrix printing

Good day

I am currently using quickreport ver 4.07 for laster printing and fortes report for some dot matrix printing.
I need a third party reporting component that can support both of these printing methods.

My problem I am facing now is that my client who's got about 60 reports created with quick reports wants to print these reports to a Oki - epson dot matrix printer. I have tried to change the settings of quick report to print direct without preview and also not to print to a metafile and also change the font to courier but nothing works......

I need to change all these report now to print to a dot matrix, but I would like to get one  printing componet that will take care of printing to any method. I also need a componet that are supported in english and are updated, not a free unsupported component.

I see fast report does both ways, but they dont support printing using Devart firebird database components.

Thank you

Delphi Quick report can print to any printer.
It uses the windows printer driver.

If you haven't set everything up correctly in the printer driver it won't work.
Look in advanced tab of the printer driver and switch off some of these settings.

The reports themselves shouldn't be changed.
If your client is still using a Text printer fixed character printer.
Tell him to get a new printer.  Paying your invoice and time will be more expensive than a new printer !

My client is using a oki printer, what do you suggest I must change.
I still have clients using Dot Matrix printers for the simple reason that two-part Delivery Notes need to be signed by the recipient and the copy returned as proof of delivery.  Teaching "casual" delivery drivers how to use carbon paper is doomed to failure!

What about using a PDF component such as Synactis.  This is what I use and it is very well supported.  Question is how well it works on dot matrix printers.

I will look at it quickly and send them n mail
