fade in, fade out quotes in a flash box
I want to have quotes, that I determine, fade in and fade out, with a non-web-standard font, over a static background image.
I would love to have these quotes be dynamic and come in from a text file that I can change easily.
Is there something out there that will make it easy for me to do this, or am I better off making a video that does this and compressing it as a flash movie?
I'm sort of intermediate with flash, but I'm not brilliant with actionscript.
It seems to me that someone must have done this before already, and I won't have to reinvent the taco salad to achieve this.

if you want to apply a fade to text it needs to be embedded, that means if you're using dynamic font you're going to have to embed everything to account for all possibilities.

yes, but how can I do a dynamic fade in fade out of quotes?
Otherwise I'm just going to do it on a timeline and add quoted that way

what exactly is your question? how to do the fade?
depending on whether you're using aS2 or AS3 just look in the help file under the tween class, theres even a full code example for you.

you're still better off using the tween class rather than a frame animation - but good luck with it.
