I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

.BAK is the extension for a SQL database that is backed up.
If you go into SQL and choose Restore Database and you point to that file you should be well on your way.

You can even restore to its original name (it will appear in the dropdown after you select the file.  make sure you select the checkbox for the file and on the options page, set your file paths correctly (they will have the old server file paths which may be correct on this server)
