We're going to discuss taking the server down for an hour, adding it to the domain to uninstall exchange and then putting it back in DMZ. &nbsp;I'll let you know if this resolves issue.<br />

Have a client with Exchange 2003 and I upgraded them to 2007. &nbsp;They have a 2003 exchange server in DMZ that I am having trouble uninstalling. &nbsp;See error below.<br />

&quot;The component 'Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services' cannot be assigned the action 'Remove' because:<br />
- Setup encountered an error while trying to contact the Windows Active Directory. The error was:<br />
- Failed to contact the Schema Master server for this Active Directory forest.&quot;<br />

I was about to go through the manual steps to remove Exchange but this server is also their FTP server so removing and re-adding IIS is a problem. &nbsp;Any suggestions??<br />
