Symentac Backup Executive and  Exchange recovery

Hi i am trying to restore exchange database in a exchange recovery group when i run the restore program the only option that i have is to restore to original location  but i am worried that it will replace the database that is already online

please note that i am using exchange 2003 server

    As long as you have a RSG created w/ a DB you will be fine. Exchange recognizes there is an RSG and redirects the restore.

    i do this process about once a month and have never had issues. Just make sure you have enough room on your drive or partition.

    Just to add to the previous comment. Make sure that your Info store is set to not be overwritable and that your RSG is.

    It is very nerve racking clicking submit for the first time but it does work. Have faith!
