I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

As long as you have a RSG created w/ a DB you will be fine. Exchange recognizes there is an RSG and redirects the restore.

i do this process about once a month and have never had issues. Just make sure you have enough room on your drive or partition.

Just to add to the previous comment. Make sure that your Info store is set to not be overwritable and that your RSG is.

It is very nerve racking clicking submit for the first time but it does work. Have faith!
