Unable to Connect Second iPhone to Exchange Server with Different User

Trying to set up a second iPhone one my SBS server. The first iPhone Exchange connection is working perfectly. when I set up the second Iphone with a different user account information I receive the noted error message after the account appears to be accepted. I have reviewed user memberships and permissions without results. Where else might i look within Exchange server to resolve this connectin issue?

Recreated the virtual directories on the Exchange server. Now I am unable to get the iPhones to be recognized. "Exchange Account Verification Failed."

Do you have Exchange service pack 2 installed?
--the iPhone tends to fail to connect if this is not installed.  The good news is that an SP2 upgrade does not even require a server reboot.

Yes, sp2 is installed. All works well with my first iPhone. It is the second which gives the error message, "Cannot get mail The connection to the server failed." It is not a hardware problem as the second phone does connect with the one Exchange account but not the other account. I appears to be an account problem. I have tried to change manipulate the security and access settings without avail.

Did you create the second user account using the SBS server management screen? If not, and it won't be disruptive, recreate the user that way--it places the user in all the correct OU's, groups, and applies group policies correctly.

Add new account by the name of test. Same problem.  All users have been created with the SBS server management screen.
Noted the following error message on the server during the night as the iPhone was trying to update.
"Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: ["Our Exchange server"] User: ["User having difficulty"] HTTP status code: [409]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly."
