ROMMON message

Little Background:

Router went down, when it booted up in ROMMON mode, IOS was gone from compact flash card.  Had to call Cisco for a new image and we loaded it back up and restored an old config file.  Everything seems fine. But I get this message from the console on boot up and I knew it wasn't there before:

Upgrade ROMMON initialized
program load complete, entry point: 0x80012000, size, 0xc0c0

Initializing ATA monitor library......
program load complete, entry point: 0x80012000, size, 0xc0c0

Initializing ATA monitor library......

program load complete, entry point: 0x80012000, size, 0x10adb0c
Self decompressing the image:
###########################################[OK]

The configuration register is set to:
Configuration register is 0x2102

The router seems okay but acts funny at times.  Should this be something i should be concerned about.  Would this cause router to act weird (example, not be able to save vlan database info)?

Thanks in advance...

"Should this be something i should be concerned about. ?"

That just looks like normal ROMMON status messages to me.

"not be able to save vlan database info"

Can you elaborate?

I don't see this ROMMON message on any of my other routers.  Is this a normal message?

And with Vlans:

when I do a 'vlan database' command and enter some vlans.

I then issue 'sh vlans' , i get : 'No Virtual LANs configured.'

And i am using atleast three on that router.

You've probably got a slightly different firmware on the other routers.

VLAN database mode is being discontinued. Unless you have an older platform or IOS, it is recommended that you modify the VLANs in global config mode.

packetguy:

"program load complete, entry point: 0x80012000, size, 0x10adb0c
Self decompressing the image:
###########################################[OK]"

The above is the IOS 'unzipping' itself, and then loading, it is perfectly normal.
But Upgrade ROMMON is not
Hmm.

vihunter, can you do a "sh ver" and a "sh flash" and paste the results in here please.
Sorry for the delay, rough day on the field...Hope this helps......
