I have 2 DC with one in w2k and w2003 also. After I demote the w2k out from DC. I can not check the AD account when using in the startup services function (ex: start up the service with "this account" option in the services.
I checked and cleanup the DNS server for completing the w2k server out of DNS server in the w2003 server.
What is wrong or missed any step in this phrase???
Do you have any unvaluable solution for helping me???
Thanks indeed.

    Hi kasperprentow,

Did the server 2000 box hold any of the 5 roles?

If so, you have to force the 2003 server to take over those roles.
