vista 64 compatibility installshield

Im running into an error during the installer of World Championship Poker 2 on my new Dell Studio which shipped (by default)  Vista Home Premium 64 bit..  I accept all the installshield defaults, but after kicking off where it would start copying files, I get a message that it couldnt be installed.

Any 32-bit system will do to test - if it loads on xp-32 it will load in Vista-32 - looks like you are going to be out of luck on this one unless WCP2 has been re-released with a 32-bit install

What is the exact error mesage you are getting?
As you are using Vista64 there's a chance that the InstallShield package for the game has a 16-bit loader that the 64-bit system will refuse to handle. If that's the case and there isn't an updated installer available for wcp2 then you won't get this installed unless you create a virtual PC within your V64 install.

It could simply be that the default location for the install is reserved though so try setting a different install folder if you can eg: C:\wcp2\
Rightclick setup.exe - properties - compatibility.
Select comp. mode ->windows xp. also select "run as administrator".

I tried the expert comments regarding changing install location and compatibility by themselves, and together, and the install still fails.  Here is the message I get at the end of the wizard:

InstallShield Wizard Completed

The wizard was interrupted before World Championship Poker 2 could be completely installed.

Your system has not been modified.  To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.

Click Finish to exit the wizard.

Do you have a 32-bit system you could do a test install on?  If it installs OK there then this is a problem with a 16-bit InstallShield launcher and you are not going to get this working in a 64-bit environment.

It installs on 32 bit XP fine.  Did you mean 32 bit Vista?
