upgrade SUSE 32bit to SUSE 64bit

I have a client that needs a 64 bit SUSE, but he already has one that is 32bit. It is not running he was just curious if there is a upgrade vs a complete new install.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unfortunately I do not believe that it is possible to upgrade to 64 bit without a complete reinstall.  Should be easy though since it is unused and probably contains little to no information worth saving.

No, there is no upgrade path between 32 and 64 bit on any operating system; a complete reinstall is the only way to do this.
