9.00.1399 is RTM edition andyou need to follow what is referred above, 3042 is SP2 verison

I am trying to configure the database mirroring. I am done with the configuring security then when I click Start mirroring I encounter this error:<br />

Database mirroring transport is disabled in the endpoint configuration (microsoft SQL server Error 1486)<br />
