We are currently using Ipswitch's IMail and wondering about other solutions. Just seems like IMail cannot keep up with the email load. We are currently seeing over 750,000 emails per day and it just seems like we have problem after problem with IMail. Does not need to be free software, we just want something that works! What other solutions are out there?

Earlier this year my company switched from Imail to Smartermail by SmarterTools for our hosted customers. So far we're very happy with it. You can find out more about it and get a trial copy from http://www.smartertools.com/. It was supposedly quite reasonably priced. It also has tools to migrate quite easily from Imail.

We used CommuniGate Pro for just POP/IMAP back in the 90s on an old PowerMac 8100.  They have much more than that to offer.  We thought unification was for Germany, and SIP was for sissies...we gulped.

Unified messaging, including SIP integration, PBX, chat, calendaring, clustering, etc.  They have a following at educational institutions and ISPs:

Mdaemon is very reliable, easy to setup, see the Case Studies on the site, some big companies using it - biggest installation I carried out was for a client who had about 50 users (they migrated away from Exchange).

Thanks for the suggestions! I am a little leary of Smartermail because we did try the free edition and had problems with that. That was with a very small number of users just to test it out.
We have about 8,000 users we need to support, so we need something that can easily handle that and have good support if something goes wrong.
