Unable to recieve SMTP email

I have just installed SBS 2008 and am trying to set up Exchange server 2007 Using MX toolbox all seems well finds the server no open relay and so on.

But I am ubnable to recieve any mail. When I run the mail troubleshooting assistant iget the following error

Mail submission failed: Error message: Server does not support secure connections..

Could anyone help with this please

Sorry the full result from the mail troubleshooting assistant is

Mail submission failed: Error message: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated.

Followed By

Mail submission failed: Error message: Server does not support secure connections

would you guys mind explaining what you did - to help others? I have the same problem. However, I can telnet to the external MX record, and get a response from the server, so all seesm fine...
