Velociraptor GLFS versus HLFS - disk controller errors

I have had problems with Velociraptors of the GLFS series - they give disk controller errors in EventViewer and disconnect RAID mirrors and software mirrors.  There is another series called HLFS that I have just become aware of.  What is the difference?

I had this problem and after talking to the right person at Western Digital found out that GLFS does not support RAID and server OS. HLFS does. I can't see getting a GLFS for that reason as it's the same price pretty well as the HLFS but doesn't work everywhere and the HLFS does.
