Transfer pictures from iPhone to comuter

Hi guys,

Last week I was installing linux on my computer.  I back up all my data to an external hard drive that I had.  Being that I had the greatest of luck in the world.  The hard drive died that day.  It couldn't be mounted in linux, and when I hooked it up to my WIndows computer I got an error that said, "drive not accessible" corrupted.  The message in Linux told me to run chkdsk /f on windows. so I did and to my surprise everything got erased.  I tried PC Inspector File Recover, but I only was able to recover a few files.  Fortunately I had all my music and documents saved on DVD's, EXCEPT my pictures.  Last night I just realized that I have them all on my iPhone.  I tried tansferring them back to my computer, but it only allows me to transfer the ones taken with the iPhone.  I could not transfer the ones that had been synched with my computer.

Do you guys know how I can transfer them back into my computer?  Also I'm guessing if I'm able to do so, the picture quality is going to be greatly reduced since they seem to be of smaller quality on my iPhone.

hey thanks dfxdeimos, but that software only allows me to copy from my computer to my iPhone and it allows me to copy from my iphone to my computer only the pictures that i took using the iphone, not the ones i have stored in the phone in other folders.

Do you know the location (in the iPhone's file structure) where the photos exist? How did they come to be on the phone? \

Perhaps a file browser would be the ticket?

hey i tried the iphoneBrowser, but no luck.  i get the same directory structure as i did with the previous program. i added the pictures to my phone using itunes.  i have a bunch of folders under the pictures directory in the iphone, but when i browse with the fileBrowser I get the pictures folder with nothing in it.

If you synced them using iTunes then it stands to reason that you would be able to retrieve them from iTunes, is this not the case?
