Hosting Exchange

We are getting ready to host our own exchange 2007 and I am coming up audit list of things that will change within Outlook 2003 for users. Currently users are using pop for email. Any suggestions??

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

They will get a GAL
Not have to send and receive regularly (as MAPI will keep the connection).
Ability to share calendars etc
Centralised backup

Is this for a list that the users are going to have or one to sell the idea to the brass?

Ah.. OK, you will need to switch from POP3 to MAPI. It's not too bad if you use one of the ORK tools to create and push out a custom profile for everyone.

You can use the profile wizard to set up the server details and maibox names for your users. There is quite a hefty tome in the help section which explains all the options you can configure but essentially it's pretty much all of them.
