Does anyone know if a free extension or program that will allow you to design concept maps in OpenOffice. I have tried EuroOffice and I haven't had much success.

What exactly are you trying to map. Open Office Draw can make some pretty basic maps. If your looking for a mind mapping try FreeMind. You might want to search for Visio opensource alternative etc. on google, you might find something you like. Kivio also comes to mind, but I don't think there is a windows port.
