Blackberry Enterprise Server and Groupwise 7

Why will my BES server not consistently sync edited contacts. Only new contacts will be entered correctly. This is a device to server issue. Have tried resending service books, changing sync direction, manual syncing and changing to device wins and restarting both server and device. NOTHING!

Though they ARE having my exact problem, there was no actual answer to their post. My BES settings have been set to bidirectional and I have tried both Server Wins and Device Wins with no discernable difference. I have deleted the corresponding service books on the device and resent them from the BES. I have updated software. All to no avail. We are in the process of setting up a support package with RIM/ATT, but I was hoping to avoid that. C'est la vie.
