When using MSMSExpress, can I export my query results to a text file? rather than on the Results frame.

When using MSMSExpress, can I export my query results to a text file? rather than on the Results frame.

Question1:
I have a query called reports.sql that run smaller queries within, to give me some kind of a 2 page report, and it gives me the results okay in the Results window.  I would like to have the entire result in a text file, is that possible.

Question 2:
What is your best adivise of creating a Web Form report in Visual Studio 2008 SP1.  I have a web application that I would like to add a *.aspx page that when executed it will give me the results of a full page results of a custom query (same query as mentioned above), the query in question works with the same database, and opens many other small tables.  I was thinking in using formview, detailsview. repeater ???

Question 3.  In the same application mentioned in Question2, I need to create a Welcome Letter, where the letterhead and all content is the same, and I need to fill the field <name> on a specific spot in the letter.  Can you give me some directions on how to approach this,  is it easy to create a PDF with the results of the customized letter?

Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello wrm-ag,

Actually you should ask only one question per question.

Sorry about that, should I post it again?  All is part of the same application.

Basically EE says one question per post. You probably should break it up into separate questions because they aren't really related, and you're likely to get a better response. Don't take this the wrong way but it doesn't matter to me what you do.  I thought that it might help you out.

Thanks for the points but you could have had the question closed, and I don't mind if you want to get it closed and refund your points.
