Need to create an ISL between McData Sphereon 4700 and EMC Connectrix DS 200B

I need to create an ISL between the Sphereon 4700 and the Connectrix DS 200B. Does anyone have experience with these two switches and ISL. What interop mode to use? Will I have to manage the new switches zones from the existing switch (4700)?
