Configuring main mail folder on Blackberry

. We have blackberry  enterprise server and many BB devices. One of our users has  his  personal email  added to the blackberry using the basic email account adding feature.
Now there is a new icon for the personal  email account and you can see the personal emails once you go into it.
 But both sets of emails ( personal and work) are coming into the main messages folder.  The user does not want to see the personal emails in the main messages folder.  Is there any way to accomplish that.

Not sure of the model, but I think its less than 7 months old.  Buying a new blackberry could be an option if it solves the problems ( the blackberry bold?) , but we would like to stay with the existing one as much as possible.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your issue is a common one, and not one that is easy to fix. By default, all messages go to the "Message List", which is typically the first icon on the BB. If you add a personal account, mail goes there too, but has a filter for a second icon.

If you have a BES, you can enable your users to have an additional icon that is just work e-mails. You would then have 3... "Messages", "Desktop", and "Personal". If you hid "Messages" the user would see two, which would get the behavior you want.

The downside is, this is a server-wide change. AND... if you users didnt have personal accounts, they would still see "Messages" and "Desktop". Pretty dumb... i disabled this on my BES.

There is some 3rd party software that can do a similar thing on a one-for-one basis. I have one of my clients asking about it... if you want i can post an update once i do some testing (if no one else has any input...)

I found this on anthoer post in EE, but not sure what is would do . I am not clear not. Do you think this would help. I would still like info on the software. Thank you

As ryansoto mentioned, there is no way to get a "work email" folder.  That bugs me too!

One work around that I have found is this:

- On you blackberry, click on your inbox.
- Menu button --> search
- Go down to Service: line and select "Desktop"
- Menu button --> Save
- For Title: , just name it Work, or BES or whatever you like
- For SHortcut Key (alt + ) -- Select which letter you would like for the hot key
- Menu Button --> Save

Now, when you're in your inbox, hit ALT + whatever letter you selected ans it will filter out only your desktop items.Unfortunately there is no way to get a "work email" folder.  That bugs me too!
