think i might have resolved this, when re-installing certificates services I mistakingly used a random CA name ie. tesco CA for the common namerather than using the servers machine name. I am just re-installing certificate services now using the machine name as the common name to test.

Hi dodyryda1,

As far as I can remember, the 2 certificates will not be the same although the name is the same. Try to import the new certificate into IE and see what happens.

Cheers.

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

JoWickermanCommented:
You can, but you could also use the newly generated certificate, import it and test.

JoWickermanCommented:
Oh, sorry about that. You'll be able to do that using your certificate service. Not sure of the exact procedure, but if you follow the prompts, it'll work.
