Problem is when i go to connect to OWA i wish to connect to owa ie //servername/exchange to access OWA this works but every time i get error below.. the ssl certificate generated if for the servers full dns name ie. servername.domain.local.com and so the certificate is highlighted as wrong. how can i generate and link the correct certificate

Hi dodyryda1,

As far as I can remember, the 2 certificates will not be the same although the name is the same. Try to import the new certificate into IE and see what happens.

Cheers.

Oh, sorry about that. You'll be able to do that using your certificate service. Not sure of the exact procedure, but if you follow the prompts, it'll work.

think i might have resolved this, when re-installing certificates services I mistakingly used a random CA name ie. tesco CA for the common namerather than using the servers machine name. I am just re-installing certificate services now using the machine name as the common name to test.
