Repeating alert/alarm for new text messages

Is there a way to have the alert for a new text message repeat every 1-5 minutes until the message is read? I'm looking at using an iPhone to receive my pages that can be sent as test messages.  With my Windows Mobile device, it was not supported natively, but with a 3rd party program, PhoneAlarm, I am able to configure it to repeat the alarm every 5 minutes until I view the message.

So does the iphone do this natively, or is there 3rd party software that will enable the same feature?

There is a program that can do this called "Intelliscreen" But for it to work, the phone must be jailbroken.
