Unable to update gateway address on Win 2k8 DHCP server

I have a Windows Server 2008 machine acting as my domain DHCP server. I am attempting to change the default gateway assigned to DHCP clients. I have gone into the DHCP admin tool and changed the "Router" setting under Server Options, but clients are still pulling the old gateway info. I have tried several times to release/renew the IP, but it still keeps pulling the old gateway address. I have restarted the DHCP service, dleted the previous lease for the machine in question, tried a different client, and rebooted the server... The server shows the updated address in the "Router" option, but is still handing out the old gateway.

When you do an ipconfig /all on the client does it show the IP address of the server?

    Author Comment

    Accepted Solution

After coming back to the server after letting it sit for awhile, I looked at the DHCP config again, and it was showing the old address again. I updated it again, and it took right away! Very Very strange...
