Blackberry keeps call 911 by mistake

When the BB is locked the users keeps calling 911 in error while the device is in his pocket.
Is there a way to change the "Emergency Call" to another number so that the call fails?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Presumably the keypad is locked, but user does not have a case?

Most phones allow you to dial the emergency number even when the keypad is locked.

You'll need to get the holster/or case for it so it is not accidentally touched.

Failing that, put it in standby when in pocket.

Thanks aherps.  This user has the case/holster.  He refuses to use it.

Well have them put the handset into standby mode.

You can still receive calls whilst in this mode - but the keypad will not be able to dial 911

You should be able to go to the Security Options on the device, then go to General Settings. An option is there on my device called "Allow Emergency Call when locked" or something like that.
