HP SIM Virtualization

Has anyone virtualized HP SIM?  Is there any documentation on this process?  Were there any issues with reporting or performance?

Please let me know I am very interested in moving forward with a P2V on this application.

Should p2v fine as HP supports installing HP SIM on a VMWare ESx virtual.

It will P2V just fine, I have done this a few times.  I have also moved HP SIM onto a clean virtual machine to avoid removing all the old HP Insight Agents from the P2V'd VM.

just few of the service wouldn't need to run the virtualmachine but should be fine.

All HP SIM services need to be run on VM its the HP agents that get installed when building a phyisical that don't need to run on the VM.Like for example a VM wouldn't have a iLo service to be running.
