2003 Camry Side-View Mirror, Japan make, cannot find it, options?

Hi there,

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry and I need to replace the passenger side mirror.
The problem: It is the Japan model and not the US model.

I can't find the part on the Internet anywhere! They are all the US model. Even if I need to import it from somewhere, it is worth it.

Or, is it possible to just use the US model? Would that be a problem?
I don't care too much about power and heat. I just want it to look proper.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I dont see the problem if it looks the same..and the cables match..
Have you tried: http://www.uneedapart.com/

The quote will walk you all the way through "Electric, heated, R., Japan built (Passenger side)"

After that, they want contact info.  I don't need the part, so I'm not going any farther.

I've never used them, but it may be worth a shot to see if they can even source it.

Have you tried looking at a Chilton's manual or finding OEM specs on the North America version to see how closely it will fit?

I usually find parts by an initial search under the description :camry mirror etc. and look at the sitest offered until I find one that quotes the manufacturers part number. Using just this part number in a further search usually locates better sources than the initial part-name search.
You might find that the manufacturers part number for the mirror for your model and the ones you have located are the same and so you would know you have the correct part.
here is also a good junk yard site..

www.car-parts.com  might find a good shape used one for cheap

Part number is TY87ER

I've never used them - I would call to be sure they have it. 888-251-1209
