Hello, Experts

How to execute any command like "dir" in windows or "ls" is unix using Adobe Air?

Also I want to know if there is a simple method for copying a directory.

The Adobe help is pretty comprehensive on Air file operations with example code.

listing directory contents:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/flash/filesystem/File.html#getDirectoryListing()

copying directories:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/flash/filesystem/File.html#clone()

Are you looking for a working example?

Not possible.

I use Zinc for this kind of thing, it's much more flexible than Air for building desktop applications. It also doesn't require a runtime installer which means you can run it straight off a CD if required. It is not free however. Go to www.multidmedia.com to try it out.
