asus a6000 series laptop,when i turn it on ,lights flashing for afew second and turns off.i hear clicking from inside.dead

    clicking means the hard drive has gone or is going, you should be able to replace the hard drive, intall Windows and it should work fine. i think you have lost your data on the current one though.

    ok,but i have tried take off the hdd the problem is the same only stopped clicking.

    Put the windows CD in, turn on the laptop, hit the key for BIOS/Setup when the screen comes up and check that the laptop allows booting from the optical drive (if not, make it so and save changes).

    Does it boot from the windows CD?
    If so, replace the hard drive with a manufacturer-recommended model and reinstall the OS.
