i have a entarasys matrix E 1h582-25 switch that I am trying to access and cannot log into. No one knows the username and password in addition I tried to console in using hyperterminal with the setting 9600 8-N-1 with VT100 but this does not work. <br />

Is there something I am missing in the terminal settings<br />
Is there a way to break into the switch and edit the boot code to change the password ala cisco switches.

Cannot log into Entarasys switch

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol.
