Wireless Adapter disabled while in sleep mode on Windows Vista Home Premium.

My Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Adapter on my Sony Vaio VGN-NR285SE gets disabled during sleep mode on Vista HP edition. In order for me to get it fully enabled again I have to do a complete restart of the computer. I I had the same problem on an HP laptop and could not pinpoint the problem. I thought it was an update but I can't pin it down. I've reinstalled the BIOS, uninstalled then reinstalled the device through the device manager (this worked for about 3 days and then it started doing the same thing).  I've checked all the sites, both Intel and Sony & microsoft as well for any updates or fixes for the problem but haven't found one yet. I did find a fix for another OS and Model on the Sony site. Any suggestions?
