Crystal reports 8.5 with access database - unable to use memo field , Crashes

I am not able to use memo fields in Access 2003 database with Crystal report 8.5. Application crashes giving error 20534, Error detectd by database DLL.
We are directlly binding Crystal report to Access Database table fields. Any ideas.

How are you trying to use a memo field?

They should display but you cannot use them in formulas except to test for NULL.

CR8.5 has a limit of 254 characters in a string.

I am just using the memo field for Display , No formulas. It works fine if this is a string and till 255. I am dragging the Memo field on the Report from a Access Database.

We used memo fields from MS SQL in CR8 with no problem for display.

Maybe Access is different.  What type does Crystal think it is?

Crstal thinks it as a memo field. There are other memo fields being diaplyed correctly in other sections of report. This is a subreport in the mail report. It comes up file if the text doesn't break to a new page but fails if the text spans to a new page. It is not failing at 255 limit but can have more text than that.

Is it ever longer than 1 page in length?
If not you could try using the KEEP TOGETHER option on the field or the section

I think we found the solution. The problem was not with Crystal but with Access not handling Memo field as part of composite primary key. Thanks for all your help.
