I've downloaded the Microsoft Exchange 2007 ISO image from the EOpen web site but when I try to burn the disk, Nero v8 tells me that it won't fit on the disk.

The MS download is 5.911GB in size

What do I do?

    Accepted Solution

If you have access to a double-layer DVD burner and double-layer DVD media you can burn it with that. Otehrwise, if you just need to install from the .iso, you can use a program like Alcohol 52 ( ) to mount the .iso image directly on either the server or another computer and access the files that way. The microsoft .iso mounting tool referred to in this page also works well though is slightly more difficult to use.

The MS .iso mounting tool will run on either. Though, I just realized that if you're going to run Exchange 2007, the server must be x64. I've not yet tried that tool on an x64 system. It may be 32 bit only, in which case you would have to run it on a workstation then share the mounted .iso out to the server via the network.
