it has never worked flawlessly. when i install windows server 2k08, there was only a standard vga driver installed.

Thus, i got the intel drivers and installed them, only to see that they would be removed after boot.
 thanks :D

OK, so it's a pronblem with the driver/with other drivers installed.
I would (if the server is still virgin) reinstall the server, install the chipset drivers and afterwards install the display driver. Has to work.

Hi McKnife,

Reinstalled the server. Its still not working... How?

Maybe Windows Server 2008 is not compatible with Intel 855GM/GME? There are no Vista drivers for it on the internet, i got the XP one. Is it because of that?

Sometimes xp drivers work here, sometimes not. It's a notebook, isn't it? Why on earth a server on a notebook? If for testing purposes, install vmware.

@McKnife

Haha... laptops can be run as very powerful servers as they use less electricity...
W2k3 server works fine... Vista works fine... w2k8 server not. Funny...

Especially when w2k8 and Vista have the same Nt6 codebase.

@sensored2008
Will try, thanks!
