Microsoft, Outlook, 2007, with exchange server, .....Ost can not be accessed..set of folders can not be opened. you must connect to microsoft exchange with the current profile before you can synchron

I would like to be able to connect with Microsoft outlook. I can access webmail (owa.) just fine. I have reinstalled office to no avail and recreated account multiple times. Being in cached mode does not make a difference. Is this a problem on my end or the exchange server (through which I have no control.)

I have tried all the above for a second time and nothing seems to work.
when I enter my name when configuring the account it is able to recognize it and complete the account registration (becomes underlined).

I had repaired files and created new outlook profiles but in the end I deleted all pst and ost files since everything was on exchange server anyways.
Quite risky but it worked somehow.
Thank you though, in the future, adding information about getting rid of ost files and information associated with it could be helpful in understanding the problem.
Anyone come up with an answer to this? I have the same problem and have tried connecting to the server using a different machine with a new pst setup and am still getting the same error message!
Interestingly enough I created a brand new account on the server and am having the same issue with the new account.
Well I found the answer to this. It's a firewall issue, at least on my end. I disabled the firewall and it worked. I found that it was looking at tcp port 1131
