Remove the machine names from the DHCp server whose names i have in a txt file.

When machines are removed permanently of moved to another are where there is a different DHCP server tp lease. Can i have a script to remove the machine names from the server immediately rather than waiting for the lease period time.

A simpler way is to do an ipconfig /release on the client machines to release their lease before moving them. There's less chance of an error than trying to mess directly with the dhcp server, database.

Thanks that would be fine for say 1 to 10 + machines here i want to do this for 100 + machines each time when they move from one location to another.

If the problem is exhausted resources in an dhcp zone, you could also look at shortening the lease lifetime. This addresses mobile devices and limited address space. I just assumed by the "permanent" part of your request that this was a one-time move.

What kind of DHCP server and what platform are you running on?
