Changed DNS addresses - now site sometimes opens on old host and sometimes on new

Switched hosting from GoDaddy to HostMySite. Went in to GoDaddy and changed the DNS addresses to point to HostMySite. Waited a few minutes, then went to my site ( and it was the one hosted on HostMySite. Was able to open up an FTP connection to it too. I thought all was well. About an hour later, I went to access the site again. Now it's taking me to GoDaddy. Tried it in Firefox, and it goes to HostMySite. Went to another pc and tried it in both FF and IE and it goes to GoDaddy.

I checked on GoDaddy and the DNS addresses are correct (the ones for HostMySite).

I cleared cache in all of my browsers. No difference.

Does this make sense? What's going on?

Thank you! It appears to now be working on both pc's in both browsers so maybe things got cleared out anyways. But I'm sure that this was probably my problem. It does explain the erratic behavior. I knew about browser cache but did not know about DNS cache.
