Cannot cannot to Citrix through web. Incorrect IP in .ica file.

I am trying to re-setup a client's access to their Citrix MetaFrame server so that they can basically remote desktop in with an already setup application. When I go to logon it lets me get to the point where I click on the app, but the connection will not establish. If I save and open the .ica file, the IP is the internal address. I have used the altaddr command to change the alternate IP to the external IP on their network.

If I change the IP in the .ica file to the correct external IP, it connects instantly.

Please note that this client currently only has one IP. I have the traffic on ports 444 (forwarded through to 80 for the web login), 8080, 1494 forwarded.

if you look at the secure client options, there is one for connection method.  you need to change it from direct, to alternate.  then you will be fine.
