Installed USB 2.0 PCI Card

Hi All

I recently installed the above card type and now the card doesnt seem to work.  It came with a CD with Drivers, but I geta message in Device Manager saying Error Code 10:-  Yellow exclamation mark:-

"VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller' entry under the 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' device type and under Properties the Device Status reads as follows: 'This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed (Code 10)'

Tried installing the drivers on the CD, but no joy. Any ideas, how to resolve??

USe the upgrade drivers option and internet search and see if it finds newer drivers.

If it still does not work, return the car and get a different brand.

I hope this helps !
I had one like this recently, where I had to send the wizard to the specific location containing the driver. It then told me it didn't recommend this driver as it was not specifically for my hardware (but it was). Once I insisted, it installed and worked fine. The card had a NEC chipset.

It might be a resource conflict.
If the motherboard has an onboard USB, try disabling it in the bios.
Try the pci card in a different slot.
