linking photo tagging script to database

I am using the image tagging script available at http://www.fotonotes.net/#installations

it stores the image tagging data in a xml file. I have successfully implemented the image tagging functionility. But I want to link it to my database so that it works like orkut or facebook. ie, when I tag an image, I want that when a user clicks on that tag, he should be taken to that users profile.

I'm not sure if I have explained it properly. But if you look at orkut image tagging, you will understand what I mean.

a user uploads a snap that has two friends. (both the friends are users of my website: user A and User B). I tag my friends in that image with their names, ie User A and User B. Currently, when any user moves his mouse pointer over that image, it displays their names properly. But what I want is, if any user clicks on the User A tag, he should be taken to his profile page on my website.

Please guide. Also please let me know if you need any further details.

on the image place an onclick='document.location=\"linktoprofile\"'
