Move Exchange 2007 CAS to a new server with a different name.

i want to move the Exchange 2007 CAS role from a server with server 2003, to a new 2008 server, and the get rid of the old server. I am using ISA 2006 with a third party cert  for owa. The cert has the old servers name in it. How can I still use the cert, and make it work with the new machine?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It a matter of backup restore of the database and the registry keys from the original server. If you want to rename the new server also you must make some modifications in order to get it to work. But in my opinion, it's better if you only move it to a new server and don't change the name of the new server.

Also if you would want to change the name of the server then read through this article:

Here a link which describes the procedure.
